I feel terrible, awful, disgusting, Achy:D
One side of my nose is stuffed, its so annoying.
When I blow my nose I sound like an elephant, and my ears pop too:p
No spots yet, thank god!!
I am trying to be strong, but I feel really week, so I may not be on that much I just wanted you all to know:sickie: :sickie: :dizzy:

Yes the chicken soup does work, but I need something for the pain, I feel like somebody beat the crapola outta me, it stinks being sick!!:(

Awww Andrea I hope you feel better soon! I completely understand about the body pains and having a stuffed nose. I finally took Tylenol Cold nightime and I was actually taking it during the day. It knocked the stuff right out of me. Although the doctor said to take Thera Flu since I had the flu, but that wasn't working for me personally so I took the Tylenol Cold and it worked great!! Try it. And drink plenty of liquids and make sure you have lots of Chicken Noodle Soup and get lots of rest.:bed_time:

We have this great drink down under called Limsip. It is a powder you add hot water to and as it says you just sip it. It has a mixture of lemons and painkiller and it works wonders for me.

When I was sick my dad used to baby me so much even when I was in my 20's. He would bring me food in bed and lay with me till the medicine kicked in, I miss that:confused: I want my Daddy:D Im such a baby!!!:p :p

I so hope it isn't CP, babe, I know it s#cks when you have a hubby that works and 3 kids to care for and you feel like cr@p.

I swear by Orange juice, when I get the flu or just feel really off, I buy bottles of orange juice and I drink heaps of it ( mind you it ends up going right through me) and with in a couple of days I am back to my old self. I am one who really doesn't like taking anything unless I am really really ill, I do find orange juice works wonders.

Hugs to you, hope your feeling better real soon, make sure you get as much bed rest as possible.

So sorry you're getting sick:( I know when I start getting sick I start bombarding myself with over the counter medications and fluids. I know it's hard to rest with 3 kids, a husband, and little Nemo, but you have got to try. Sleep does a body good....:getwell: :nursing: Hope you get well really soon.

Andrea, it sounds more like the flu. You probably got run down taking care of your sick kids, and that made you more susceptible. There are things like TheraFlu and Tylenol flu meds that will probably help some. Nyquil will probably help you get some sleep. I hope you feel better soon and are back to your sassy self!!!!

I have never had them, nor have my kids, so one day i could end up in the postion as you:tongue6: .
They say you get flu like symptoms and the spots can take 7-10days to appear.
I so hope you don't get it. Honestly when Adults get it, it can be really serious. Get some orange juice into you and eat well, even take Multi vitimans, it helps to keep your body balanced.

My daughter who got CP a few yrs ago at 29 :( just had the sniffles then the spots started appearing she was never really sick with a cold just fever and sniffles (though it was the middle of summer) She was covered. you couldn't put a pin between them and they were in every orifice..... mouth, eyes, ears and down below hubby and I took turns from the office and did a Slurpy run to her lol (frozen ice drinks) She was so ill it took 3 months before she felt well again.

When both my boys got them they were never sick before the spots showed up. But exactly 2 weeks from the day that my youngest got them my oldest started popping out. Hope you don't get them. What does the doctor say to do if you do break out? I thought CP were more serious if caught as an adult (or is that the measles?)

My boys weren't sick beforehand either. The oldest just starting getting spots with no other symptoms. Within 2 weeks, the other boy had them also.
