Hi everyone,
It's been a while since I've posted. Peppi is doing well and so is my Yorkie, Kiki. I am wondering if there is anyone in or near the Rockford, IL area that can refer a good groomer. I prefer to keep Peppi in a puppy cut and the last groomer he went to went too short :( and I have decided not to take him back.
Thank you ahead of time for the information.

I'm afraid being way down here in Florida, I am no help to you. Who does your yorkie's hair?????
I just hate it when you go in to get your own hair cut and tell them to only take an inch and you walk out with hair four inches shorter! I even trusted my sister-in-law one time...........thought for sure I could trust her .......NOT!!!!
Grrrrrrrr:mad:
Seems dog groomers have the same syndrome............"cut more and keep cutting." Guess that is why I do all my own grooming; keeps my blood pressure down!:p :p

I guess what really shocked me was the fact that this was our 2nd time going to this particular groomer. So, we were shocked to see that he cut him that low. We said to do it the same way he did it before and it was so much shorter. He did say that Peppi's coat was changing from his puppy hair to his adult hair, but he was not matted. He had a couple of mats near his ear, but that was it. I just did not get why he cut him that low. It's growing back really nice now, so I am happy about that. :)

Probably the best thing to do is when it grows out to the length/shape that you want, take several pictures of him from different angles and show them to the groomer and say "this is exactly" how I want him cut.
Thank goodness hair grows!!!!:)

That is a good idea Morkie4. I think I will do just that. Anything to keep my baby from looking like he did the last time.

I feel for you! Recently I took Wookie to our Groomer. We had been going to her for several years so I had no worries asking her to cut his body hair only. Or so I thought. When she was done, I felt like Wookie looked as if he had been through a paper shredder. I was floored and quickly learned the pharse, "It's only hair, it will grow out." :lol2:
I am glad you like how your furbaby has grown out. I love Carol's idea, of taking a photo.
enJOY!
Melanie
