Well tonight was the first time that Brandy tried to initiate some play with Toby..............poor Toby didn't know what to make of her. She was on the couch with daddy and she had her bootie in the air and was jumping towards him and barking. He started towards her and with tail wagging, she jumped at him and scared him to death. But that did not deter Mr. Toby. He kept at it and she kept barking and encouraging him to get it on............it was really quite cute but of course didn't have my camera handy. Then Kallie got into the act and was teasing Brandy while fending off Toby from attacking her legs. It was like a three ring circus but at least it left me in stitiches and "hopeful" that all three of them will eventually become best of buds!!!:) :) :) end of story.:D

Well, I am hopeful........... Brandy has this really really mean growl like a rabid dog when she plays...........even with us (although we are working on that behavior to be eliminated)...........and I think Toby is confused as to whether she is serious or playing. But she would never bite, she is such a dear, just sounds like a vicious dog. But with correction I am sure we can help her make the adjustment. Now Toby on the other hand, is a true terrier and takes everything to the next level. Makes sure all his toys stay dead.:lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

:lol2: :lol2: :lol2: . Love the dead toy thing.:lol2.
Well they might never play like B an K do. But at least they all get on with each other C. I think Brandy maybe just likes to hear herself talk, typical woman.:D

Yes, they do really well together with their toys and food.............but I have to keep telling myself that on Dec. 14th we will have had Brandy only three months and within that time she has made some marvelous advances in behavior, health and learning. I bought the bells for the back door and she will use them to let us know when she needs to go out; she has learned to sit; and is now accepting the grooming as part of her life with us. Not that she enjoys it, but she is now accepting and sitting still while I do the brush out and the bows in. I just can't wait until her front hair is long enough to really "stay" in place. She has a darling little face under all those bangs!:hearter: :hearter: And the best part is her health; she is really feeling so much better now and it shows in her affections and playing.

Well you see now Carol, you have done a great job on her. 3mts and you have acheived a lot with Brandy. I have Missy over 3yrs and she still hates to get brushed, doesnt like to sit, and if she had a bell she would tear it apart. LOL

Wow Carol, I didn't realize that it is only 3 months since Brandy is with you. She has made amazing progress thanks to you. My Teddy(yorkie), is somewhat of a loner. He will only play when HE feels like playing. He is happy to sit on the couch and watch the others play. Teddy's ideal day is laying in bed, on my pillow, watching and barking at the Dog Whisperer. He is really quite lazy.:lol2: So funny about Brandy's growl. Jamie's Abbie has the same growl. It's like this awful evil sound coming out of this sweet little girl. It really means nothing with Abbie other than I was here first, get out of my way.

That's great that they're including Toby . The group play can get a little wild at my house . They LOVE to make the ornaments shake on the Christmas tree . Princess Charlotte does not partake in wild games , she is to genteel . Sarah:)

Isn't it a great feeling to see our rescues "grow"
I know I've been amazed by watching the progress Smokey has made.
It's great they are getting better with each other! Toby seems to have a similar personality to Chip, but Chip does the same growl as Brandy. He always sounds so angry. He's my sweet hostile little puppy :-)

Carol, that is wonderful news. I also hope your three will all be included in play time in the very near future. Sometimes, the furkids just need time to figure everything out.
I also loved the making sure his toys were dead comment:lol2: :lol2:

Aw, that is great to hear!! I am so glad they are getting along so well, I knew they would. It just takes some a longer to adjust than others.
When I got Brownie, Brownie was always fighting with Scampers. Scamp never did anything but Brownie seemed to hate him. After several months it has been a complete turn around. Brownie just adores Scamp now, he is always playing with him and kissing him and laying beside him and you would never know that Brownie at one time hated Scamp.

Jack is so happy that his b-i-l is finally having some fun with Brandy.
He also liked the idea of Toby and his 'dead' toys. That is Jack's kind of man.
They would play well together.
Jack would also give Brandy a run for her money with that growl. He has this mean growl when he plays with his toys. They would probably scare the sh*t out of each other!!!:lol2:
Forgot!!!!! Jack still would like to play one on one with his lady love Kallie.
