Is this a Puppy ? if so the Barking should start to diminish once they get use to you schedule of when you go to bed.
My Lizzie did the same, so we ended up putting her downstairs at night until she grows up a little.
She still barks at every noise she hears but at least shes not waking us up.
I would think once she gets familiar with her surroundings she will bark less !
HOPEFULLY :) if not you can check this section for tips on Bark control some work and some not so much.....Lots of Fun information there !!!!!
Good Luck and Welcome to MT !!

When Leo was a pup I was very strict about anyone reacting, taking him out of the crate etc. when he barked. By reacting or taking him out you are reinforcing that it's ok to bark and he's gotten his reward for it.:wink5: Leo was only taken out while being quiet and now he NEVER barks when in his crate. It'll grate on your nerves but hang tough...it's worth it!:D

Sounds Just like My Lizzie who is also 8 months old.
We put her down stairs and just let her Bark when going to bed, not much you can do about it.We keep her in an X Pen BTW.
You could try one of the Ultrasonic Bark Breakers but it may not work for long, Lizzie got to the point that she didnt care about it and kept on barking !
There is the Coin in the can trick too, that was OK.....cheep and temporarily effective but they will build up a tolerance for that too.

Have you tried letting her sleep in the room with you out of the cage. When I got mine I would have locked them away in another room, and all they did was cry. So after 2 nights I couldnt stick it any more. So I brought them into the room with me. And hey presto, no more whining or barking.
They will bark at night when they hear something strange, but as they get older they get used to it. I think it will eventullay stop.:D

When we first got Kallie she was already 2 1/2 years old and supposedly crate trained. First night home with us, we put her in our kitchen in the crate and she carried on something awful. So we got up and brought her into our room, cage and all...........hmmm, that didn't work either. Well, she finally "trained us" to the proper behavior and we put her in our bed where she has been ever since. We are sooooooooo well trained now that when we got Toby, he never went into the cage, went right into our bed. AND Miss Brandy, yep, right into our bed. But it does not work in all cases because if they are not potty trained, well, your bed will be the potty ground; if you do not want them sleeping with you in bed, DON'T start; persistance and trying different things is the only thing you can do at this point. Hope you find a solution.:)
