How many trips to the vet have you made during 2007??
For those of us with multiple dogs, the number will be higher of course.
I have had mine to the vet nine times. Brandy the most due to the health issues she came with. The other two were for check-ups and yearly shots.

Zoe has been twice for her first set of shots, she went for the intial blood work, the second BAT test, Spaying/chipping/etc, and second round of microchipping. Total 6
For those of you that have multiple furbutts, do you try and take them all at once (like for annual check-ups) if possible??

Mine all go at separate times...........The reasons: no big $$$$ output at one time; easier to manage one; able to comfort them better and not distracted from talking with the vet about any issues, etc.

All very good reason...something to think about when Zoe gets a sibling.

Oh gosh, i cant even count them up!!! Most probably more than 10 & it's not that any of them have been sick at all....new pups & neuters require many visits:)

Would it be another malt you would be thinking of getting, that is if ZO ZO could handle not being an only kid...........all hypothetical of course.:D

Jack went in January for a blood test because of that pet food scare...he had some of those pouch dinners.
He went in Sept. for the titers test and then again the next week for his yearly check up.

We have had a pre spay workup and then the spay, Pebbles' puppy shots, yearly checkups, worming, Peb's microchipping, you name it this year we have been to the vet for it  Scrappy got his first ever cold and sore throat and Pebbles gave us a couple of scares which entailed several emergency visits so we are probably way over the 10 mark.... I do know I have contributed handsomely to my Vet's annual holiday this year.....

The "original plan" was to get the maltese for me and Marco wants a medium to large dog (obviously with no prey drive for the benefit of Zo zo and Peanut), but now the story is "we will see who comes into our lives". I would love to have another Maltese and the next one will most likely be a male. We always wanted to get a second dog when we had Sophie, but as she got older, we just couldn't do it, so we had always thought of getting the first pup settled and going for number 2 later. Hypothetically pseaking of course.

Chip has been to the vet for his paw 2 times, for being sick 6 times, not to mention the 5 or 6 times he went for his shots, 1 time for his neuter, and 1 time for his after neuter check up. We've only taken Smokey 1 time so far, but he needs some more shots so he'll be going soon.
