We had our first real scare last night. We had bought Jack a cute little doggy ball when we got him back in Sept. He has played and played with that ball so much I thought he was going to be a baseball player. Last night he went and got it out of his crate to start his "spring training" and I left him alone for 2 minutes. I went from the kitchen to the bedroom to put some clothes away and when I came back out to the frontroom he was laying on the floor with the ball half out his mouth and chewing away on it!!! I got that ball out of his mouth and sure enough--there was a nice chunk missing from it. I looked all around the floor and couldn't find any of the pieces--it looked like he got 2 good pieces off it. I couldn't remember if there was a squeeky inside it but just then my son came home and said it didn't. That happened at 8 pm.
At 2:30 am Jack got up from our bed and headed for the hallway to ring the bell. All of a sudden he just started throwing up---and thank God---there came out the 2 pieces of the ball!! After that he looked at me and headed right back into the bedroom and went back to sleep.:dogsm7:
This morning I'm doing a major check job of all his toys. I'm just not used to this anymore. Max would just play with his toys, he never destroyed any of them. Jack has already torn about 3 cloth toys and now this ball.

:fainted: :fainted: Wow, I bet you were scared!!! So far neither of my two seem to tear anything up unless they are playing tug-a-war and those toys do not have squeakers in them.........whewww! Glad he threw-up:tongue6: , know that might sound bad but it was good that he got it out of his body! Poor baby, he probably went right back to sleep and you spent all night counting sheep!:(

:tongue6: Oh no, bet your glad he brought them back up:( you must have gotten a real fright.

Yup, i've had to throw out quite a lot of toys as they play tug of war with them & then they rip & once the stuffing starts to come out it goes into the rubbish. I found the ones that i bought from pet shops to be the worst. You know these rope toys that you get for dogs, well mine seem to be able to chew them apart & you find bits of rope everywhere:mad: in the bin it goes.
