We have a column in the newspaper that deals with dog issues. Someone wrote in and said her little dog would not wear the dog booties you can find in the stores. Instead, she uses balloons. Yes, I wrote balloons. She takes 3-4 balloons and snips off the top lip. Then she puts one balloon on over the other. She says she has had no problems and other people have tried it and wrote in to say it works. You just have to experiment a little in getting the right size for the dog.
Sounds like a hoot to me!!!!! I think Jack would look just great in dark blue. One lady said her pup looked fantastic in red.

I took Zo zo for a walk today when I got home because the path in the park had been cleared (so I thought) and she started raising her paws and whining...then the "walk" became a "carry". I came back and helped get those annoying snow balls off of her and then looked up those Muttluk boots. (I tried to tell hubby that she needs them as her 8 month old present tomorrow:lol2: ). I will give the baloons a try first.

Does it come in 4 wheel drive for us Northerners ?
Lizzie seems OK in the cold, but she really doesnt go into the deep
stuff that much !Only when she is in one of her Insane moods....
oh the Balloons sound good but I think I will wait to hear from Elizabeth....
I would think Lizzie will shred them instantly :(

That's a novel idea. Scrappy hates cold or wet feet and will go fetch his boots himself lol

Sounds like a great idea, but wouldn't their paws
still be cold and wouldn't the terrain tear it apart?
LB would be biting my hands if I try to put it on her.

I ordered some booties the other day that claimed to be better than any traditional ones you see to buy out there, etc., etc. Well, when I got them, I was kind of horrified to see that they looked like balloons! I thought, there is no way I can get these on Ricky! There are a bunch of them--6 pair or so. I put them up and have not yet tried to use them, but after reading this post--I'll give them a try! I kind of felt like I'd been "taken" when I saw that they looked like balloons, but maybe they work!!
Oh, and Carol, I have a stroller, too!

:lol2: :lol2: :lol2: thanks, I have used it sooooooo many times and the kids love it. I like it because it keeps them off the ground where who know what is ont he ground and keeps anyone from touching them without asking. So the furkids love it and so do I! :D :D
