I purchased the Crown Royal Magic Touch Grooming Spray No 1 at the dog show yesterday (16 ounces, $11.95 w/spayer). I used this on Toby this morning for his prebath brush out and I love the stuff. It doesn't have as nice a smell as the Ice on Ice by CC or the cowboy/water mix I make............but it does the trick and makes for an easy brush out. Of course, I brush every day so it isn't that hard to keep the mats out but Toby usually gets "snarls" at the tips of his hair rather than mats and it just seemed to make the brush out a tad better. We'll see how it works on the girls. Not sure I will switch to fulltime use of it over the cowboy magic/water mixture but I do give it a thumbs up as a good product.:)

I have a closet full of grooming products from over the past 2 yrs of Zippy's busy little life. I tried Crown Royal as a suggestion from someone (cannot remember the name lol...an age thing) who shows maltese. I purchased a maltese grooming video from them, and asked what they used.
I tried it, and omg, what an easy brush out. I brush Zippy daily, but as it approaches time for a bath, she tangles easy....as in while I am brushing her lol. Between this and cowboy magic, it is easier on both of us.
The downside is that this stuff has a yellow tinge to the product. I bathe Zippy weekly, so it isn't too much of a problem for me. I don't show Zippy though, so those who show might feel differently about the product.
I don't know if anyone has tried this site, but it might save a little money. The site was founded because of the cost of show dog supplies. The founder and his son began showing dogs and discovered the cost of the products, so founded this co. to sell SOME of the products at a discounted rate.
