Well, it takes a lot of constant watching and retraining him to go on the pads but I am sure it can be done. I do the "outside potty" training so I really have never learned quite how to train them on pads. Perhaps a belly ban will help. But he is old enough now to hold his elimination so perhaps regular visits on the pad and the command to go potty would start the process. Also not being neutered could be some of the issue with marking rather than elimination. Sounds like you are going to have your hands full with three fluffbutts!!! Do you have problems with the other male Romeo???

Since you are wanting to breed him, he will mark a lot. So my advice is get a lot of belly bands and wear them on him.
This is where I get mine from and the price can't be beat and she is super easy to work with and shipping is free and fast!!

I put a pad on their bellyband and then just change the pad through out the day, about 4 times. I don't know what I would do without bellybands, they really save your furniture!!

Hi Liza,
My pup is almost 1 1/2 and I have him paper-trained as well. He started lifting his leg recently too. I have his pad in the bathroom and in a corner, so when he lifts his lef, it doesn't go anywhere. I don't know if that is a long-term solution, but it is definitely a problem fixer for the time being. As for the training, it wasn't until Tobie was over 1 year that we started getting anywhere with him as far as training was concerned. They actually learn better when they are older, so don't worry about the age concept. I hope that helps. CHECK OUT LILCHEWERS.COM FOR TOYS AS WELL.
Thanks,
Anna
