In my search for a picture of a cockroach for my other thread, I stumbled upon a site that explains that there are five different kinds of cockroaches.

So I guess the Palmetto Bug isn't a roach oh wait it is an American roach? I HATE roaches they are the dirtiest, disgustingest thing on earth!8145 Non-Floridians these guys fly and are about 1 1/2 inches.

Did you have to go and get disgusting with roaches???? FLYING ones are the worst!!!! As a kid we had them in our house really really bad as the area was not developed yet!! I can remember hearing them fly across my room and splat as they landed on another wall. It traumatized me for life and now I had just rid myself of those memories and you bring up the flying bit!!!!!!!!!!!!

They really are very gross creatures...............hate them!!! Sometimes if you "step" on them, they make a 'pop' sound! That's about as gross as I am going to get!

Oh disgusting, we do get some kind over here but not sure which:confused: we never get them in our house though & i have never saw any in the garden either!

aaaaah, yep have lots os lizards in Florida too! Not keen on them either! What I LOVE ABOUT FLORIDA IS THE SUNSHINE AND WARMTH.:) :) :)

I wish you could, but I am sure the border patrol would have a problem with that.

We have to send presents unwrapped because chances are they will be opened at the border anyway

Little spiders are ok, but the big ones??? YUCKY!!!! I had one of those big brown spiders common in Florida get on me and it bit me!:mad: :mad: :mad:
