This winter is getting to be a very long one.:(
So around 12:30 the drizzle started, and then ice rain, and then sleet which has now turned the ground into a sheet of ice, now heavy snow. We'll get anywhere between 8-14 inches today. They keep changing the forcasted amount. First it was 6 then 8 then 14 then 12 then 10 now "we don't know". Sigh!
I went out earlier and shoveled the freezing rain and sleet back from my apartment door so I don't fall on my tush when I go out to let Tink do her duty. In a little bit I'll do it again after the snow has been absorbed into the freezing sleet on my patio. If I keep it up for awhile, at least my patio and maybe my sidewalk down to the main sidewalk will be clear of ice.
I've changed Tink's clothes twice this morning 'cause she gets soaked jumping up onto the snow mountain where she tinkles. ;)
So how's the weather by you!?:D

:o :o :o Do you really, really, honestly want to know????? It's sunny and a warm 79 degrees at the moment!
Susie, you be very very careful when you shovel that snow and let Tink out for potty breaks.............you worry me woman!!!!!:( :( :hearter:

Ummm, why are you shoveling??? Where is maintenance???????
It's cold here, but nothing like your suffering through.
I think its time for a road trip to Florida:D

A road trip to Florida huh? We were invited to a party last fall, remember on the Never Ending Story?
Yes, I'll be very careful. I don't want to fall and hurt something. That would be awful if I fell and couldn't get back up and Tink was out there freezing her little tushy off and all wet. :( At least the door wouldn't be locked. If someone came to help, they could get us back in the door!:wink5:
I did get some of it shoveled again, but I don't think I'll be able to keep it up. It is very heavy and I had a hard time with it. I don't want to hurt my back. No no no!!!
So Carol, could you maybe get the leaf blower out and blow some of that warm air my way? Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, northern Illinois - that area?

Right there with you girlfriend. We had the hard rain start last night around midnight. The temp stayed above freezing well into today. The rain has finally stopped but now we are hit with flooding warnings. The winds are picking up, suppose to be blowing 20-30mph tonight and the sleet and snow you got earlier is suppose to be heading our way.
We are behind you in the snow fall count by about 20 inches, but I am so over this, I'm actually depressed:( I'm getting bad headaches and feeling down right lousy. I have no pep. I had a bad headache earlier, took some meds, took a 4 hour nap!!!! Thank goodness Jack was a real sweetheart...he stayed by me all afternoon with his new toy and played on the bed while I slept.
I need Disney World or Hawaii now.

Count us in too. At obedience school this morning, there were only 4 dogs (I guess the other half of the class stayed home because of the threat of the storm) so we didn't have to stay the whole hour. The freezing rain started around noon and it has been going all day with ice pellets. Poor Zoe was sliding around in the backyard trying to pee.:lol2:
It is supposed to keep going all night and the temperatures keep dropping. The good news is that we don't have to go to work tomorrow. This is the first year we are getting "Family Day".:D

Come on down!!!! You would think we lived on different planets with the "huge" difference in the weather! I'll never leave Florida.
And Susie.........I'll have the hubby crank up that leaf blower but I'm not so sure the warm air will make it up your way. :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

Please don't forget Minnesota in that list! I know we don't have as much snow as you do, Susie - but I am sick of it and want to play outside with my girls.
Woman, you better quit that shoveling!!! Aren't you paying a good deal of rent for them to do it? I just may call over there and file a complaint. Anonymously of course.:D PM me the office number, would ya? I am totally serious. You could really hurt yourself and that is the last thing you need right now.
Ok, I'm done.;) :)

Our weather is weird currently. We have HOT and then cool and then steamy again. Rain, no rain, dark clouds and then sunny.
Today's high was 86 but we had so many dark clouds and a good bit of rain.
I am so sorry for everyone suffering up North. Take care and keep in mind SPRING is on it's way.

Yes, that is the bright spot in a dismal world these days. Spring will come I know it will, it just has to, please please let it come soon!
It took me 45 minutes this morning to dig my car out of the ice and snow. Then 35 minutes to make a 10 minute trip to work. I was exhausted before I ever got there.:lol2:
Now it's just gonna be cold cold cold for a few days and then we'll get another storm. Mercy Mercy Lord have Mercy!!!

Oh Susie............it just makes me sad to know how hard you have to work getting your car ready before you leave for work..........that's too much work, especially for an "older"....ummm, I mean a mature woman like youself (yes, I know, I am older:lol2: :lol2: :lol2: ). I do hope you take great care when you get that car ready in the mornings.
We are going to get a cold front through tonight.........can't wait!:( :( :(
But it is absolutely beautiful out this morning, a slight crsipness in the air but sunny.:)

I'm sorry you're having such awful weather! It's been just beautiful here, 65 in the afternoons for the last few days and I'm trying to soak up every sunray I can. I can't stand the gloom of winter. I hope you see some sunny skies soon.

The ride in this morning was an additional hour. It snowed all morning (has just recently stopped) , but I am sure that the afternoon commute will be bad too.

I wish you could too. We had a really mild winter last year and I think we are paying for it now. My friend gets married in 10 days and I am praying for a half decent day for her.
