:( I just wanted to tell everyone I found "No Name" today at the bottom of his tank floating:confused: not on the top, but the bottom..
So Anthony (my son) said he might be sleeping (I knew he was a goner) and to give him a little time to wake up. So we gave "No Name" 8 hrs to wake up , but he didn't :( So I flushed him... Anthony wanted a burial, but I thought he would he happier floating in the sea of "No Names"
With Deepest Sympathy,
ANDREA~:D

Awww poor No Name.
My son never got to bury or flush his fish as the cat was always the reason for the demise of his fish.:dizzy:
My sympathy to Anthony on the loss of his fish

I don't get attached to fish at all. When they die, they get flushed, I go out waist another couple of dollars and the cycle starts again. LOL.
Its funny, cause when they have the fish, they don't feed it, clean the tank or care about it in anyway. Yet when it dies, I get oh my poor fish, I loved my fish, can I have another fish. So off I trot ( I am a soft c@ck) with the kids to the pet shop and I stand there and watch them get all excited picking there next fish ( thinking who is the next victim ) we get home, set it all up and then they are gone, never to care about the fish again until it's demise.
lol

Oh Andrea...
Though I do understand the relief......... kids sort of think they are doing it all when they sprinkle a little food in for the fish.
I must admit, when I found Peter the cat sitting on the bench cleaning himself and the fish bowl looking like a tornado had struck with everything swept to the middle all I could do was laugh. I can still see in my mind's eye the whirlpool the cat created to catch the fish.
I am sure Peter thought that fish bowl was for his personal fresh catch of the day.
So, you getting another fish? :D

Sorry for the loss of No Name! He must have had a good life!
I have found that cats and fish do not do very well together! We had a large beautiful aquarium set up with around 25 fish. So relaxing to watch. Well the cat got on the top of the aquarium and took a pee............killed every last one of them there fish! Gave up on having fish! LOL
We performed a mass burial down the toilet!

LOL, Andrea:lol2: ! I remember my younger brothers going through this fish phase, they bought fish after fish, the aquariums kept getting bigger and bigger and they got more elaborate with the decorations. They were over it when my dad refused to clean their fish tanks and they had to do it. So is Anthony getting a new fish?

We have lots of fish and they are all "no names" About 6 years ago, Greg bought one of those big plastic ponds that you bury in the ground. He did a really good job with it, he put big rocks all around it and built them up several feet and there is a 3 tiered waterfall that runs into it and then he put plants and lights all around it. The fish live in there from about May to the beginning of October and then he puts them all in a huge aquarium in the basement for the winter. We have had 8 of them for the whole 6 years, the others come and go. Sometimes, when they are living outdoors, one or two will come up missing and I imagine Smokey, the cat has given himself a treat...

So sorry to hear about No Name. We had guppies along time ago and every time I cleaned the bowl, the darn things would jump out of the fish net and go down the kitchen drain. Sooooooo, after 15 guppies we gave up.

I was around 7-years-old when I lost my fishy. I was devestated beyond belief. I filled the bowl with too much water, and fishy flopped out. I found him dead, laying on my dresser. We had a nice burial for him. I still feel so guilty about that. I think I've tried to save every animal in the world since then.
I do enjoy a nice fish-sandwich with extra tarter sauce, though ~ LOL
