So, only half the class showed because we are expcecting really bad weather today (freezing rain, hail, etc.). We started off with adding hand signals to "sit" and "stay" (which we had already started at home).

Then we moved to Stay (both Sit and Down). We did a timed sit and stay, a finish sit stay (which is on the left side) and a down stay with the distraction of the demo dog walking around the group. Zoe looked, but never broke her stay (even when the dog beside her started barking and whining). I was so proud.

Then we worked on adding a sit during heeling when we stop walking.

The we did an exercise where the trainer put a line of toys in the middle of the room and we make her "come" without stopping to play with the toys. The first two dogs stopped there. Zoe ran straight through for Marco. The last dog was pretty funny because he picked up a toy, but kept running for his mom.:lol2: :lol2:
Then we did the command for finish where the dog has to go around their person and sit on their left. We had been working on this all week and Zoe can do with the hand commands.:wink5:

She did really great. We were very proud. The trainer told us after class how great she was doing and how she was glad we stuck with it because a lot of small dog owners give up.
