For those of you who do your own doggies' toe nails, which do you find works best???? The ones I have are toss aways..........so the Petco lady told me when I showed her which ones I had. I use to have the ones with the blades that were replaceable but it was so hard to hold the foot and get the nail inside the opening.............with the ones I have now, they sort of work like scissors and it is easy to get their toenail without having to fight the nail inside an opening.
So what does everyone else use, I'm open to suggestions.:) :)

I have those too and I got them at beyondspoiled.com I like them pretty well. I also have a pair that have a guard you can move across the bottom to stop the nail from being cut too deep, and a guard on the side to keep them closed. I got them at our local horse and farm animal warehouse in town. I'll post pics herem. I think I paid about $25 for them 15 years ago. I used them on my poodle but Tink's nails are soooo tiny I opted for a different set. I really don't know which set I prefer.
Oh, and you can have both of these sharpened at your local knife sharpener - or at a fabric store when the scissors sharpener comes to town! I haven't had these done for a long time as you can see from the pic - I need to oil them and get them sharpened.

The nail clippers I have also has the guard and the lock. I bought two of them when a local small petstore was going out of business and selling everything 75% off! I got a great deal on them!
Does Tink let you do her nails???

Yes she does. It's not her favorite thing, but she does let me do it. I just have to take my time cause it makes her nervous. She will put her paw in my hand and then snatch it back a couple of times before she lets me clip her nails. I can only do two paws at a time.

I bet her toenails are "black" which makes it all the more difficult!

Even with the guard that some of these clippers come with you need to be careful. Sometimes the quik grows equally to the nail that they do need to be dremeled. Like my Snoopys.:o :o
