Well, Mr. Toby did great and pretty muched ignored the other dogs except when one would get too close to him as we walked in the circle. We did the heeling and turn heeling for most of the class and Toby did great. At the very end we worked on the heel and stop and sit. He knows how to sit so I think he will catch on to it quickly. He did growl at the trainer's huge German Shepherd and a couple of the other dogs but having the gentle leader on him prevented an "incidences" from occuring. Toby is the oldest in the class and most are male dogs with only two females. We have a six month old Lab, two six month old poms, eight month old mini schnauzer, a westie and two people were missing.

Toby did real well and I can see where he will catch onto things quickly. It is just the socialization that did not go well. He pretty much stayed behind me and really wanted nothing to do with any of the other dogs during what the trainer called playtime at the end of the session. Oh well! :(

But I was proud of him!!!!!:hearter: :hearter: :hearter: :hearter: He came home and is sleeping. I think it really wore him out..........I know I'm tired. :)

Chip wouldn't go up to anyone on the first day of class. Give it time!

I am glad to hear your little man did well with his first session. I wish my trainer had allowed for "play time" afterwards.

I knew he would do great!!:wink5:
