My adorable, sweet little Jolie pulled one on me tonight. :( I put her in the ex-pen area with the other dogs. I know she can get out so I put everything away that I don't want her to chew on.
I got home and all the dogs were still in their area, but I found evidence that SOMEONE had been out. Guess who??? She jumped out, made a couple little messes and then jumped back in.
Can you believe the nerve of that little twit????9274
I hate to put her in a crate when I'm gone but she isn't leaving me much choice anymore. It also has to be a crate that she can't open - she's very good at that, too.

Why are you prejudice??? Why blame it on the little white innocent one?? Do you still have the Morkie? Blame it on her!

It couldn't have been Jolie.......Maltese just do not do things like that! It had to be one of them Yorkies or the Morkie! Poor Jolie gets blamed for everything.:( :( :(

Innocent little white dog my 9285 !!!!!!!!
For one thing, no other dog gets over the fence. They all stay nicely where they are supposed to. Another thing - I have caught her red handed doing it.:D Another thing - this "innocent" little dog has caused more trouble than all my other dogs combined!!! 9288 I am totally serious!
It's all Carol's fault too. I never would have gotten a Malt if it hadn't been for her telling me so many times how sweet and gentle and laid back they are. NOT.9287 :awink:
Plus, I have seen Jolie work the latch on one type of crate to let herself out. So there!!!

Well you know Teri I really think they gave you a Yorkie in a Maltese suit because all the Maltese I know are truly innocent and lovely and quiet. So you may want to check if you can "unmask" her. :D

Well, Jolie is not the one to blame. It is them Yorkies that put her up to it! I just know it is! Accept the fact that it is them and not Jolie! Sweet sweet Jolie!9300

You guys are too much. You are just a bit tainted to the Malt side of things, I think.
I figure if she was my only dog, she would probably (?) be calmer and more mellow. But then again, any dog would if they didn't have playmates.

My chloe can jump the gate and let everyone out. It drives me nuts. I put her in a crate once when i needed her confined. She flipped it over upside down ;)

9316 She flipped the crate??? What little stinker.
I've been thinking of checking Menards or somewhere to see if I can make up my own fence thingy that she she wouldn't be able to escape from. It has to be something that I can step over or have a door in it. I'm getting pretty tired of scaling gates around here. But, I figure it's good for my old hips.:D

I'm pretty lucky that they are trustworthy enough to have free run of the house but there are times I need them confined. I'm thinking of getting a gate that has just the VERTICAL metal bars, the one we have now has little squares that she just puts her little feet in and bounds over. I don't think she could get out of jail house type bars. I'll let you know how my houdini does:lol2:

put tie wraps on the latch. Enzo used to do that and then eventually he stopped trying after i used the tie wraps for a few days.

I've been thinking of one of those but there are two things holding me back... one, I don't know if Brea, at 4 lbs. would be able to slip through the bars. Two, I need a long one - like 9' or so. I'm using an ex-pen opened all the up right now, blocking the doorway but it doesn't fit - it's too long so I have to wrangle it around a little bit. I think those vertical bar gates look much better and I would LOVE to have a walk through gate.
If you get one, fill us in!:)

I'm using the same thing right now. I need about 8 foot one which they do make because you can buy extenders. There was one i was looking at on ebay a while back, i'll have to see if it's still there.
