I am VERY sorry you feel anyone here would be mean to you about this issue.

When Wookie tried to do that to me a few times, I pulled my arm away and said very firmly, "RUDE!" and then walked away from him, turning my back to him fast. He tried a few more times and I gave him the same "treatment" and he never tried it again to me.

Good luck,
Melanie

Please don't be embarassed and please don't think anyone
would be mean to you about this issue. This is natural
behavior and sometimes it's their way of showing
dominance. Just firmly push her away and say "NO!"
I'm sure that once you correct her behavior it will be okay.

How is her barking at night? Has it gotten better?

Oh please don't feel embarassed..........it happens at one time or another with all dogs! As Laurie said it is a natural thing for them to do. When we first introduced Toby to Kallie, all he could think of was to hump her and he was already neutered. We got that corrected pretty much like Melanie said telling him "no". Then when we introduced Brandy to Kallie and Toby...........same problem except that Brandy wanted to hump Kallie! She just needed a little guidance and correction and she stopped! Be patient but firm with her and consistent with the words to get her to stop the behavior. I am sure she will be fine and it is just a temporary thing!

GREAT!

Please believe me, no one here has a "perfect from the beginning dog" and everyone here has something to share about correcting one issue or another.

This is a wonderfully sharing forum and we all love to learn and help others.

enJOY!
