Well, let me start off by saying that I was a bad mother this week. I did not work with Toby on any of the commands at all the whole week and so went to the training class thinking he was really going to look stupid.............as well as me!
But this little guy fooled me to no end!!! He remembered everthing and even had improved on the auto sit when we stopped heeling. He just did everything he was suppose to and the Trainer was very impressed with him. And no, I didn't tell her that I had not worked with him all week...just said thank you! :)
So between today and next week, we are to work on the heeling straight, turning left, turning right heeling. The stop and auto sit. The stay and walk in front of them and returning to their side without them moving. Then today she added the "down", stay and walk in front of them and then returning by walking all the way around them while they stay in the down position. HE DID IT PERFECTLY the first time. She said we will be working on the down, stay and walking 6 feet away next week. Toby is doing so good and I am going to be working on that with him this week as well.
And last but not least, he only went after one dog today........the same six month old Lab which is about 5 times his size but very friendly. We actually stood in a circle and walked in out between dogs and he did great but did give a few of them a stare. THAT'S MY BOY!~:hearter: :hearter: :hearter:
