Hello & Welcome to MalteseTalk!
In the wake of the success of YorkieTalk (http://www.yorkietalk.com) , we thought it would be a great idea to introduce a sister site for another much-loved toy breed! This online community is founded on the beliefs that any question or subject can be addressed and hopefully answered in a timely fashion by a group of other Maltese lovers! We hope to have a very friendly and approachable community; please feel free to ask any questions you may have regarding the Maltese dog.
The MalteseTalk team, unlike other website teams, does not approve and censor each post before it goes up onto our board. We do not believe that any question is a stupid question, nor do we discriminate against those of you who may have a Maltese mix.
The following are a few general MalteseTalk forum guidelines:
1. Please be courteous. Do not personally attack anyone or their opinions; if you disagree with their response or technique, feel free to reply, but do it in a considerate manner. Conversely, you can choose to ignore their posts altogether. There may be many instances where the only resolution will be to agree to disagree with a fellow MalteseTalk member.
2. Any posts that are downright sick or cruel towards another member, this forum, the Maltese breed or a member's dog will not be tolerated. The account of the offending member may be suspended or permanently banned based on the severity of the comments.
3. PLEASE do not use ALL CAPITAL LETTERS when you post a reply or a new thread. All caps symbolize shouting in every online community. While capital letters can be used for emphasis, usually messages with all capital letters are frowned upon and may be deleted.
4. Feel free to express yourself in your MalteseTalk signature and avatar. Please limit your signature to three (3) lines and use your own judgment refraining from making your signature obnoxiously large. It helps the forum and threads to stay clear of clutter.
5. Do not "bump" your post up to the top by replying to yourself repeatedly. A "bump" to the top is only allowed once per day at least an hour after your original thread was posted.
6. We do not allow links to other Maltese forums or spam advertising. Please note MalteseTalk does not delete any threads, posts, or picture attachments unless they break MalteseTalk rules.
7. These rules apply to Private Message and chat as well.
If you see anyone breaking these guidelines, please email the MalteseTalk team at admin@maltesetalk.com or privately message us. All actions will be dealt with accordingly. Generally, e-mail is a faster way to reach us.
Again, welcome to MalteseTalk. Thank you for taking the time to read the rules and for your support.
