Well, again, due to circumstances beyond my control, I was not able to work with Toby on his lessons and I was really ready to catch flack for not working with him but he amazed me once again!! He did the heeling perfectly and now auto sits when we stop. He does great with keeping up with me with them short little legs and adjusts his stride to stay with me and slows down when I slow down.
We did the walking around the stationary dogs again and he did great.....ignoring all the dogs and staying right by me. Not even one little attempt at aggression. Then we did the sit, down, stay and walk out from them the length of the leash, waiting 30 seconds and returning to their side with them staying in the down position......HE DID WONDERFUL!!! Then she did the sit, down, stay, walk away and then the come and sit in front of you lesson and once again, Toby did exactly as I asked of him. I am just so proud of my little man. We are practicing at home now but without the leash and he is doing great!
We are being tested on some things next week so I will definitely be working on that until he has perfected it! Do I sound proud? YOU BET YA!!!!

How long was his course? 6 weeks? Both of Zoe's were/are 8 weeks, but the agility course is 6. What is involved with his final test?
BTW- she is the ONLY small dog in her new class:eek:  BUT I like this trainer better. She stuck up for Zoe during the first class when she got distracted after a big dog was staring at her. She reprimanded the big dog's owner and said of course she would be distracted. She's being stared at and she's the only small dog. SO..get your dog's attention and Zoe will settle down.:lol2:

The classes are seven weeks and he is getting tested next Wednesday for what he has learned already........sort of a pretest test! :) He will have to heel and sit without being told to sit; sit, down and stay with me at the end of the leash for 30 seconds and me being able to return to his side with him staying in the down position. She may also test them on the down and then up to the sit position.
I plan on moving along with him to the next level since he is doing so good and it is helping him with his aggression........I'm not saying he is getting chummie with any other dogs, just saying he is not on the attack mode all the time now when he sees another dog. Believe me, that is a tremendous improvement!!!!

GOOD!! Sounds like it was worth it (and he will have to thank his sisters for "helping" him).

I will not be putting the girls through the classes for $$$$ reasons. They are social bugs so it is just a matter of them having the "Obedience skills" which I have learned how to train them and will use what I have learned from the classes with them. I believe in equal opportunity training!:lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

Marco said the same thing about the next little one. He said we could use what we learned with Zoe to teach the next one. I kept all the hand outs.
