Yesterday's class was a pretest for the final test. Of course with hubby having his accident I was only able to practice with Toby the night before class and so just resolved myself that he would not do as well as he could if I had practiced with him. I did practice for about 10 minutes on Tuesday night and he refused to sit after we stopped the heeling. Oh well, it is my fault!

Well, much to my surprise.............he did everything PERFECTLY!!!!! The instructor came up to me and said I was doing an awesome job........yes I did admit that I had limited practice sessions with him and she said that he was an AWESOME DOG." My Toby, an awesome dog.:hearter: :hearter: :hearter:

She use to raise and breed yorkies years ago and she said she has NEVER seen a Yorkie so well behaved and so obedient. :o :o He followed all my verbal and hand commands. HE MADE HIS MAMA PROUD!!!!

As I was leaving she said don't worry about next week.............THE FINALS........as she was certain Toby would pass with flying colors. In my heart, I know she is right but I will practice more with him before next week.

The only thing that he does not do on his own is go into the "down" position on his own. He seems to hate the word or maybe it is the position but the instructor does not require them to go down on command until intermediate classes. So she allows you to place them in the down position so we will really be working on that with him to do on his own. But he is great at heeling, staying, and not once did I have to sit him during heeling at class; he did it all by himself.

Think maybe he was testing me!:lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:
