Does everyone use some kind of heartworm meds?
I'm getting a little concerned about all the stuff that goes in these little bodies with the topical flea stuff and the heartworm med. They just can't be good for our babies health. Anyone else have that concern?
I mean, they are basically poisons we are giving our dogs. Have you read the label on the flea/tick topicals? It's downright scary.
Just wondering what everyone else uses or doesn't use.:)

I faithfully give the heartguardplus to all three and really have no concerns as I have used for a very long time with other dogs. I have only used the topical flea stuff once and Brandy had a bad reaction within an hour and Kallie within four hours. Toby seemed fine and was not bothered by it. So we have decided not to use it on them again.

I also have a concern with all the flea and heartworm and vaccines. I do not use any flea products and I give Simon heartworm under protest for only about 6 months out of the year. Only because I can't control mosquitos. One time I purchased a flea product and when I got home I read all the ingredients and returned it. I just couldn't put it on him. I know people live in areas that have flea, tick, etc. problems and there may be a need for the products. It's a personal choice.
