Emma has an appointment at my vets office to get groomed today. I have to take her to my vets because she isnt up to date on her shots, but the vet said I can take her there and she would be safe and not around other dogs.

However I use to work there and I know how they groom there, and I dont know if im being dumb and just worried because she is sooo small, but they have these blow dryers there that blow out air fast and loud, im scared Emma might get scared. I know they will be nice to her, especially cause they know me and I worked there, but im worried about the noise and pressure from the water hose and dryer. Will she be ok?I remember the pressure of the water seemed hard, I remember thinking that after seeing cats being groomed, but then agian I know they probly bathe small dogs all the time, im probley being dumb.

I gave her a bath last week and she was great, no fuss at all, she even let the groomer trim her nose and the hair around her eyes with a buzzer when she went in for her doctors appointment and she didnt even stir. She was soo good, so maybe i have nothing to worry about?

Well, I am only seeing this post now so I am sure that Emma has already been to the groomer..............like to see some pictures now:):):)

I was going to suggest that you bath her and then take her to be groomed that way no loud dryers to deal with. The other option is to let her coat grow out and just little trims are all you need. :) :) :)

Well I worried for nothing, Emma was great, the groomer told me she just stood still for her, stood up for her when she needed to, and was all around great, no fuss for her first groom, yay Emma!

Ill post pics soon as long as she doesnt get dirty going out this morning, which will most likely happen, lol.

She also got her Bordetella shot yesterday too! One more month and I can start walking her!!!

YAY for Emma. Glad her first experience at the groomer went well and was a positive experience for her! You are just a worry wart like the rest of us! It comes with owning one of the most beautiful and great breeds on the earth, a Maltese.
