Since you all seem to be bragging about your kids in training.... thought I would throw my two cents in.
My guy started last night. He did pretty well. He didn't bother any of the other dogs and for the most part, did what he was supposed to do.:)
What pleased me the most was that the trainer and the people who work at the HS commented on how good his coat and skin looked. When I got him, he was not in good shape. His hair was shedding like crazy and his skin was all flaky. We've been working on it. With the diet he is on and the supplement I give him, he is doing much better.
You can't see his ribs and backbone stick out anymore. He still has some weight to gain but he is looking much better. :D That makes mama happy.
Now I need to remember to practice, practice, practice this week.

Good luck on the training Teri. Chipper is not very well trained at anything. He is five years old but I still think I could teach him some things. Now that I am feeling better I think I will try to work with him more.

This guy is 2-1/2 and pretty much knows how to walk on leash and get yelled at. :( "They" didn't teach him anything. I have taught him to sit but wanted to get in on classes to keep both of us on our toes. :)

Glad your boy is doing so good! When did you get him and what kind of dog is he.............did I fall asleep somewhere along the line that I missed out about this dog???? What's his name...........hate just calling him "dog."
I feel very strongly about classes now that I have Toby in them. It teaches them obedience and reliance on you to direct them. It has been a great bonding experience for me and Toby as well!
Keep us updated and posted on his progress and what they are teaching in the classes. P L E A S E:D
