Why does she do this?

Emma can be so weird sometimes.

When I put her food bowl down she gets excited but then runs away and sits and looks at it.

When she does go to the bowl and grabs some kibble, she runs off with it, sits down somewhere and eats the two peices, then she repeats the same procedure till all the food is gone. I think its funny, but wondering why does she do this and do your dogs do this too?

Kallie and Toby step up to their dishes and eat every bit until it is gone. Now my Brandy does the same thing Emma does. She goes to the bowl, smells it and then lays down until the other two have finished their meal and then she goes over and starts to eat, taking a little bit out at a time and taking it to a nearby rug and eats it. She does this until the very last little bit and then she stands at the bowl and eats the rest. It's just a little "thing" she does with every meal..........I think it's rather cute myself! :p:p

All three do this:confused::confused::confused: The funniest is when they go down off the sofa go to the dish pick up one piece of kibble go back up to the sofa eat the one piece of kibble then go back down and repeat it 5 or 6 times.:confused::confused::confused: Snoopy will not leave his plate until he's done.

Hmmm, I don't have that problem. My girls eat it up!
Now sometimes when I put some extra goodies in their food with their
dry kibble. LB eats the goodies first, licks the goodies off the kibble THEN
eat the kibble.

I think our babies have different eating styles. :D

We free feed our two. When Smokey eats, he'll eat until he's done. Chip grabs a bite, runs off to eat it, grabs a bite, runs off to eat it, grabs a bite, runs off to eat it, etc. He's doing it right now in fact.

Brea does the same thing. It takes her forever to eat. Now that they are eating raw, she will usually wait till the other dogs are done, then eat.

I give her carrot she will take it then ran out of the kitchen and eat it somewhere else while the boys eat theirs right there.

When it come to food she get excited, she will run to her crates and just look at the bowl. :lol2:

This morning Toby gobbled his breakfast immediately (almost like I never feed the little guy).....Kalie sniffed, took a bite then really got into it and ate it all. Brandy's bowl was just setting there. She sniffed it and walked about 10 feet away and layed down and watched the other two eat. As soon as the other two where done, she went over to her bowl and ate the whole thing down. They all have their own little "special way" about them. :)

Stanley will run away when I give him treats or anything special. He has to take it away, roll on it a bunch, pick it up, go to a new spot, and start rolling on it again. Sometimes he'll carry on like this for almost 10 minutes before he'll eat it!

When I feed him, he usually waits a while before he'll go eat it, but he'll eat until he's full. He leaves the rest for later.
