I have a question for all you computer smart members! And I hope I can explain this without too much confusion. So here goes:

When you make a new thread, which of course I am doing right now:).........underneath the posting area it has: "Tags and then a space for placing a tag and says, "separate tags using a comma." and then beneath the area for placing tags it says: "You may add 25 tag(s) to this thread.

Can someone please explain what tags are and its purpose. If I knew what it was for, I might use it more often.:lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2:

First I thought this was about dog tags. Then I thought YOU were going to tell us what the tags on here are how to use them. Two for two. :o:( I would like to know also if anyone would care to share their wealth of knowledge.:)

I don't think after reading the post on tags that it is something that I will be using very often..........................:tounge:



















Mainly because I didn't understand a single word about tags or tagging!:lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2:

They are meta tags. They are used for searching. On websites you add meta tags on your site for the seach engines to pick them up. Like for my site I would add - maltese, yorkies, clothing, name brands, different styles. You know key words that describes what you want picked up or people will search by.

It just enhances the search feature in the forum and for people googling.......hhhhmmmm maybe I should add the tag Luvmyfurbaby.com to all my post.10556
