Laurie--I found one easy recipe for treats. I'll still try to get my cookbook from my son for the rest of the recipes.
Mongrel Munchers
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups quick whole oats (rolled)
1/2 cup chopped unsalted peanuts
1 large ripe banana, mashed
1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Stir together first three ingredients. In another bowl, stir next three
ingredients. Add dry ingredients to banana mixture and stir.
3. Roll dough into walnut size balls and flatten on ungreased baking sheet
with back of spoon or your hand. Bake 15 minutes, or until lightly golden.
4. Cool on a rack before serving. Store in an air-tight container for up to a
week, or wrap well and freeze up to two months.
