Well, he finished level one tonight and moves to #2 next Tuesday. I was really surprised that she said he could move up. Last time we were there, he acted like he didn't know a thing. :p Tonight he did great. The class had only 4 dogs tonight which was very nice.

The instructor used Landon for a demonstration on holding a dog - for a big dog you lean over and put your arms around them and they are supposed to be ok with that. For instance if your dog needed to held for vaccines or something. She said a lot of dogs freak out being restrained like that but Landon actually loves it. :D So he just stood there absorbing the attention. Everyone laughed.

I'm not sure I like the style of training there. When I took other dogs to classes (through community ed.) the training seemed to go much faster and my dogs seemed to learn better. This seems sooooo slow. Well, I already paid for it so I will do my best. :)

I think I'm going to put a sign around Landon's neck saying, "I WEIGH 150.#" :lol2: People always ask how much he weighs.

WELL CONGRATULATIONS LANDON AND TERI!!

Maybe last week Lando hit a "plato" which is where they appear to have forgotten eveything they have every learned ......... that is according to the trainer at my classes with Toby.

Glad he performed for you and passed .........moving on up!!!

Thank you ma'am. :D

I am wondering what is going on here. Last time I had him in class he threw up a couple times after we got home. Well, he threw up again this morning when I took him out and had runny poo. I'm thinking two times is more than coincidence.

It either has to be he gets too stressed out (except he seems pretty relaxed at class) or he is reacting to the different treats given to him. Everyone brings their own but the trainers give the dogs a different treat when they work with them. From now on I am going to give them some of what I use and not allow anything else to get inside him. :D

I usually use Zuke's treats. Like the beef fillets or the mini naturals. I cut the beef fillets in tiny pieces for training. I don't let any of my dogs to eat the super processed "treats" anyway.

Sigh. Does that make sense or am I missing something else that could be bothering him?

Toby does have what I call "nervous poop".......when he is in a stressful situation, he seems to have to poop!!!

Runs and vomiting seem to be going around MT..........Brandy was throwing up a few days ago........Mia and Cody were sick.......and a few other members' dogs were the same. I am clueless. I don't think the treats at the class would be enough to make Landon sick.......he's such a big boy but maybe he has a sensitive tummy! Hope he gets better soon!

I was thinking the same things except he was like this twice now - after the classes. I will NOT let him drink out of the "communal" water dish. UGH. Don't people know the dangers of that???

I have finally found out what the term "cannon butt" really means. :lol2::lol2: Malt's runny poos are nothing compared to a Dane. :lol2: I am so thankful he can hold it long enough to get outside.

Congrads to the big guy!!! Nerves can make for a poop incident. Just be sure of that dog flu that is going around. He is in contact with other dogs, if it keeps up and he starts acting differently at home, I'd get him checked out.
Keep up the good work at school.
