Close to 700 breeding dogs and puppies were rescued from the largest puppy mill in Tennessee history. Pine Bluff Kennels was raided and the site was just horrible. The conditions were terrible, dogs and puppies, some dead in the cages were not fed for weeks, no food, no water, and the food they did have was rotten.
The helper was crying as she was talking about the rescue. She said it was a great day for the dogs, but unfortunately there are so many more mills that need to be raided. People, good people, just keep buying these dogs not knowing where they come from, and the cycle just keeps going.
We have to get the message out there that people have to stop buying their pets from places like that.
And the sad thing is, the owners of the mills think they are doing nothing wrong.

:(Very sad to know but good to see that action was taken against the puppy mill. Maybe the onces they can save will find their forever home and be forever happy!
Glad they shut them down!! It will be an neverending battle and we all know that but by not buying from such puppymills, we can do OUR part!

:( I hope like heck most of those poor dogs CAN find their forever home.
There is just NO way I could have a job to shut down puppymills... I would have a heart attack if I saw the way those dogs were treated or kept.
I pray every morning and evening that puppymills will END in my lifetime. It's a LONG tough job to end them, I am sure.

I saw on the News last night that MANY of the dogs from this raid are coming down here.
OH I hope they all find their forever homes.
God bless them all, both the dogs and the people that help them.

What would be classified as a puppymill? The breeder that I got Jasper from had quite a few dogs and they were in poor condition when I was there. I would have normally walked away but I could NOT leave him there. So would she be considered a puppmill or a byb?
I hope all of those dogs get good, loving homes.
I will keep them in my prayers.

Ok so Broward's Shelter got 130 of the 700 dogs. And some of them are in good shape and will be available for adoption tomorrow.
YEAH for them!
God bless everyone that rescues animals.
enJOY!
