I don't think I've ever mentioned my other pets here on the forum, so I guess now is a good time to introduce them!

I have Sam, a fox red labrador, male. He weighs about 70 lbs and is 10 years old. We've had him since he was 6 weeks old, and he's as lazy as can be and loves nothing more than laying on your feet and having a good tummy rub. But what else can you expect from a senior dog?

Then we have Blue [aka Boo/Boo-Boo Buddy]. She's a 4 year old Blue Merle colored Australian Shepherd/ Blue Heeler/ Border Collie/ Collie mix. Yeah, as you can tell by her heritage she is our TURBO dog. She loves to fetch more than anything in the world, and she despises water. We've also had her since she was a wee pup!

And last but not least, I have a 5 year old Chocolate Sable ferret, named Zoe [aka zo-zo/ bozo]. She's a sassy little girl with lots of spunk and attitude.

Oh wait, I almost forgot to introduce my red betta fish Sawyer too!!

That's everyone!
Sorry I could only post a pic of Zoe, my laptop is being slow. I will post pics of the other babies soon!

Oh what a lovely family you have!!! Your descriptions make me feel like I've know them for years! LOL My mother had two ferrets one time but she had to rehome them as they were just too much for an 70+ year old woman to handle.........and my dad did not like them. I thought they were adorable.

Now as to your aussie mix.........my last dog was a miniature aussie mixed with ???....don't know but she was sooooo smart and I loved her. She lived 12 1/2 years old. The Australian Shepherds are one of my favorite dogs!

Thanks for sharing your "family" with us and I look forward to putting that story to a name soon!:) :)

What is a Fox Red Lab? I don't think I have ever heard of one. It sounds like he is beautiful. :)

When my kids were at home, one son had two ferrets. He bought them from a woman who didn't want them any more. They were about a year old when he got them. They lived about 7-8 years, I think. It was so sad when they died. :(

I have an aquarium with several fishies. :D We had betta's too as the boys were growing up. They are so pretty.

I will wait patiently for pics of the rest of you gang. I can't wait to see them!!!

Mandie,

I am glad you posted this. I assumed you just had little Miss Pixie. Now we have even more in common. I have 2 other dogs also. Please post pics of the dogs as soon as you can. Do they get to play with Pixie yet? How do they get along.

Thank you!!

Yeah, ferrets require alot of attention and care, contrary to popular belief. I can't imagine trying to take care of ferrets when I'm 70!! It would be too much!
The other day, I saw some parents buying a ferret for a 7 year old girl. I felt I should have said it probably wasn't the best idea, and maybe a hamster would have been a better choice as a first pet.

Aww, mini-aussies are so adorable. One of my customers where I work has SIX!!

Fox red labs are technically yellow labs according to the AKC...but they're darker, almost a "rusty" color. I'll post pics of him soon so you can see!

They've been introduced to her, but haven't really gotten to play with her, because they spend most of the day playing outside.

But I think Blue [the aussie] thinks Pixie is her new baby, lol.
