Breed Favorites

Well we all know that one of our favorite breeds is the maltese. So I thought maybe we could share about other breeds we adore.

So what is your favorite small breed other than the maltese?

And what is your favorite large breed dog?

My other small breed favorite is a YORKSHIRE TERRIER
My large breed favorite is an AUSTRAILIAN SHEPHERD BLUE MERLE

I can honestly say that I don't think I have another small dog favorite, I am stuck on maltese !! ehehe :)

my favorite large breed is Newfoundland dog's. My aunt and uncle are getting a new puppy one in a few weeks, they went to see him the other day .. he is only just 4 weeks old and already weighs 11 pounds ! :)

I love my Maltese, but the Yorkie is pretty darn cute too! For a large breed, I'd have to say the Lab! Cant go wrong there!

I love the Maltese for sure, but I also wanted a Coton de Tulear and a Yorkshire Terrier. I looked into Westies and Bichon Frises before and thought how beautiful they were.

I grew up with large dogs. I love Irish Setters, German Shepards, Labrador Retrievers and Golden Retrievers.

What the heck?! I love them all!:D

Well besides the maltese, I love love yorkies, I have two after all!! And I love Papillons, hoping to get one sometime. And I love Cocker Spaniels, I will probably always have a cocker in my life. As for big dog breeds I love Golden Retrievers, I am hoping to get one this spring or summer. There are sooo many other breeds that I love but these are my top favorites and ones that I plan on owning soon.

I think Yorkies are absolutly adorable and if I were to ever get another dog, it would be a yorkie. As for big dogs, my favorite is the English Sheepdog.

I always wanted a Yorkie when growing up but now i also like the Havanese.

Big breed, i really dont have a want for big dogs! So this i find hard to choose.

If I could have a big dog it would be a Rotti. I love them , once trained they are beautiful dogs.
You need to be experienced with these dogs, you need to establish your the ALPHA right away or else your in trouble:D

I have a yen for a Great Dane. I have read up on them and their temperment is so much like a Maltese. However I am 5.2 and I would need to saddle it and ride it to be able to take it for a walk.

But, I will always have Maltese in my life ..... they are the only lapdog for me.

Well I absolutely love Maltese but if I had to pick another breed it would one of the following:
Toy Poodle
Cockerspaniel
Pug

To be honest my first choice when I first started looking at dogs 3 years ago was a toy poodle and then it was a cockerspaniel and then possibly a cockapoo. I loved the Maltese but I was soo worried about the fact that the dog was all white. I kept thinking how in the world will I keep that clean. Then I just kept looking at them and decided if the dog was going to be an inside dog then it should matter and I shouldn't worry too much:)

Other than the Maltese, I have to say My Ernie, Chihuahua. Ernie is such a loving little boy and he is a real lapdog like Sammy maree and Max.

As for a large dog, I would have to say German Shepard, Siberian Husky and Great Dane.
