I don't use clippers so can't help you out with that but maybe Belinda (jazzysmom) can tell you, she uses clippers and so does Teri (Omega). You can ask them on their personal profile page, here or in a PM.

Can us be a little more specific? Are you using a guard/comb with the clippers? Are you trying to go with the grain of the hair? Are these big full size clippers or the little trimmers?

Good questions!
Are you pretty experienced with your grooming?

I'm not a professional or anything but I've done a lot of research and invested in some good clippers... lol.... with 3 that have to be groomed on a regular basis, it was just more economical for me. Besides that, I enjoy it! :)

Hmmm... I'm not sure why it wouldn't be cutting... it is harder to use clippers with combs, at least in my experience but I know what you mean about it being too short without a comb. That's why I invested in a pair of Oster's A5 clippers... that way I can change the blade to the length I want. Another tip I have found is that a freshly bathed and dried furkid is a must for a good trim... dirty hair doesn't cut well and will also dull your blades. I'm sorry, I wish I could help more.
