Well, LB's grooming appt was this morning. I gave them directions on how I want LB done. They have always done what I wanted and they do a fantastic job. Well, I just picked her up and LOL :lol2: she looks like a poodle! I said I wanted her body cut short because of her upcoming surgery, plus mats, mats, mats everywhere! :lol2: Poodles are cute but I have a Maltese! Like I said, it's exactly how I instructed, but I didn't realize that she would look like a poodle. Here are some before and after pics. Do you think I was channelling my inner poodle? I'm so glad her hair will grow back, on the bright side, NO MATS! LOLOLOLOL:sidesplit: :sidesplit: I can't believe I did this to my baby!

LOL, Carol, I actually had to look at her twice and made sure she was my LilyBelle! But it was her! LOL, it's so funny. It looks like she lost weight from her hair trimming. I'm going to see how much she weighs after seeing the vet today.
I will definitely keep on track about growing her hair.

Elaine, I was going to keep her in a short puppy cut but she was so matted on her butt:o . I could not get it out! I oiled, conditioned and tried to comb it out for an hour. Then I got frustrated.:( I figured they were going to shave her down pretty short for her surgery so I might as well have them go short, so at least her hair will grow out at the same time.
Her surgery is on Feb. 4th, but her surgeon wanted to see her today for a preop visit. We'll see what he says.

Thats the area i find hard to keep matt free too:(
I tell you these dogs are so lazy, they spend way too much time sitting on their bums doing nothing, wish i could do that:blusher:
Keep us updated on what the vet says Laurie, :big_hug:

Came back from the visit with the vet who is doing her surgery next week. We talked about her xrays, he manipulated her knee joints and even had her walking in a circle so he can see her gait.
Well, he says that he thinks her right knee is just as bad as her left. He also thinks that her surgery could wait a year because she has another year to grow and she's still developing. He knows about her symptoms and feels that we should continue monitoring her for the next 6 months. If her knee continues to lock without the patella popping back into place then we could reconsider her surgery, her knee locks but when she relaxes it pops back into place, I've even learned how to manipulate it back into place. Now, Dr. Johnson is a no nonsense fella, if he feels she needs the surgery now he would push for it on the other hand, if she could wait then she should.
I'm going to keep the Feb. 4th date just in case it gets worse.
