Jodi - I was - checking it sevral times every day - but today when I clicked on it, they had changed the site and it didn't have a clear pic of the watering hole anymore. I will try it again - I sent an email telling them that the way it was certainly was much better....

Okay, checked it out - they must have been in the progress of making the changes when I looked earlier and I didn't like it, but this is great. I have a friend who grew up in Africa - her husband was a game warden there and I sent her the link after Joe posted it and she said that it reminded her so much of home. I think they have lived in the U.S about 20 yrs. now and she loves going to check the webcam.

Me and kids have really been enjoying it. My computer is in my sewing room, so I can leave the camera active and wait to see stuff. My kids sat here this evening for the longest times and finally saw an animal. It was a wildabeast(sp?) and the camera zoomed in and panned around.

Here is a link to the pics people are capturing. Look at the the baby baboon(?) So cute!

Okay, I went to the link and got this abstract, multi-colored looking pictures.......like I really can't see anything clearly. It's just a mass of colors but I could detect there was a bird in the pic by it's shape and single color. Also the water was moving but was different in color. What am I missing on my computer? I have to dowload some program to see these videos??? HELP!!!!:tongue6: Oh and the sound is coming in clear as a bell so something is not right. It looks like a water colored pictured rather than a video.

There just wasn't any animals at the time you looked. THere is a giraffe right now and they are zooming in on him clear as a bell.

:( I am missing something with my computer........all videos except with the ones on Youtube.com are like an abstract painting with moving colors all over the screen! There was a bird on the screen when I looked.........but the pictures was so flashy with colors that I had no clue as to what kind of bird but could see the flashing and changing colored outline of a bird.........I don't know what is missing that I need to veiw it? Do YOU? Does ANYBODY?

In all the time I have been watching AfricaCam I have only seen wildebeasts and deer. Now, we see deer on almost a daily basis, so I just couldn't get too excited about that. Last night, I was on IM with my son around 11:00 pm and we both had the cam up and running. I saw a giraffe, but when I posted to him on IM about it, it went out of range and he said he thought I was seeing things. Then it came back and 2 more were with it. I assume it was a family because there was a baby and he kept trying to nurse but the mama wouldn't let him and she kept walking away. It zoomed in on her backside and her legs were covered with blood and the bottom part of her tail was missing and what was left was bloody. I felt so bad for her but she seemes to be okay, she was going around eating off of the tree branches. Then a whole bunch of monkeys appeared and were playing. I was so excited to see these animals and also to be able to share it with my son. I tried to capture pics of the giraffes and monkeys because my hubby has never see anything "good" on there either, but can't figure out how to do that. I tried my right click on the mouse, but that did nothing, so my son said to hit the print screen button, but that didn't work either. Does anyone know how to save the images I see on that site?
