Ok...I am having the tear stains prob again...which the vet really believes it is going to be a teething thing right now...no blocked ducts etc. Anyhow...Now I am having aterrible time with her feet, and lower areas turning yellow from urine, and stuff. What do you guys recommend as far as a whitening shampoo or something, she looks nasty. Here is a pic to show.

She is a little doll:smlove2:
Is she inside or outside trained?
I'm sure others will give you some advice for a good shampoo.
My crew go outside & the only time their feet get really bad is when they are trawling through the dirt & i have to wash more often.

She goes outside...but at night...when she is crated...I know she has accidents on her paper...I think she walks in it or may even lay in it:fainted: I have to clean her up most mornings. I am having the WORST time getting her to go on paper, outside of her crate though.

3 months. I just don't know what else to do!!! I keep her blocked off from carpet when I can't keep a close watch on her, cuz I know she hates being in that crate, son I try to give her some freedom. But I ALWAYS have to clean up a pee or poo spot:(

Dont worry about it, she is still very young & at this age i would expect a lot of accidents. Do you have a play pen or something similar that you could use? I found this a big help in training Abbie until i found her old enough to be crated without need to potty.

Hi! Go to www.chrissytems.com, they have a great whitening system. I would do it once a month since it tends to be drying and lots of conditioner. I'm sure the other ladies in this forum have other fantastic suggestions. This system works for LB. Good luck!

Yah the tear stains are definetely worse when they are teething I think !
Kallie did have some yellow stains the first couple of days of training, she is puppy pad trained, but now she is so prissy that she pee's on the 4 corners, and wont pee or poop on that one anymore because she won't walk through it !!
I'm sure she will catch on soon enough that it is yucky for her to be in her own poop ! hehehe
Best of luck with it all

I used to put there crate in the playpen, food, water and toys. Then in the corner I would put the news paper. I found if I used up nearly all the space in the pen mine would potty on the News paper. When she does go potty on the paper, make sure you make a big fuss of what a good girl she is and give treats. 12wks is still very young, just keep at it, she will catch on.
The most important thing to do is to stick to a plan, you either Crate her or playpen her and then stick to it, or she will get to confused.
Best of luck.

Well...we have pretty much eliminated the playpen b/c she was trying to get out...and she cried b/c it isn't with us. We moved her to a linoleum room and put gates up...and she and Sasha go in there while we eat, or can't watch for potty probs. She only crates if I am going to be gone all day long, or while we sleep. In the crate she will use the paper, so that isn't a prob...except she wanders in it. While in the room...she goes wherever she pleases...then I step in it and :fainted: No seriously...I have been doing alot more laundry b/c of wet socks...EEWW!:p

My advise would be, to NOT put paper in her crate for her to potty on. You are more or less teaching her it is ok to potty where you sleep, unless it is one large crate and you have her bed, food, water and toys down one end and paper way down the other end.
I would stick with the gate up at the room, and leave her in there when your out. You don't have to crate your baby. It works for some but not for all.
Make sure you are taking her out to potty regularly, eg after eating, drinking, playing, as soon as she wakes, etc etc and praise her when she has done her potty in the correct place.
Just hang in there, it gets easier, it really does. Also make sure you have proper cleaning products to get rid of her scent, or she will keep going back to the same place.
I know how demanding it can be to toilet train them, but you need to focus and put 100% into it and she will catch on. I also found by keeping my babies on a lead with me when they were out of the pen really helped, because the moment they sniffed around I knew and could take them straight outside, or if they did have an accident, I caught it, and would clap loudly saying NO and then taking them straight outside.
Hope I have helped a little.
Best of luck

good luck trying to figure out how to stop tear stainning because i have 3 that are tearing bad :(
2 all teeth are pulled out
and 1 is teething badly!
i am waiting for everyone for their teeth to fully grow in then im ready to cut the stained area and provide distilled water and get them on tylan!
but until then...
i am washing their face and just keeping it dry!
now i dont mind the tearstain as much but the smell is horrible sometimes
i think it has to do a lot with the food too!
GL hun!

Ok...I will try this. She is getting better...since she has been around the Pom, she is learning to go out more frequently. yesterday she didn't poo in the room at ALL! Pee yes, but no poo!! I was leaving dry food out...I have stopped that. Back to the regular routine of eating.
