Andrea--thank you for the kind words. We are blessed with finding Jack. After Max died I swore I'd never get another dog and go thru that again, but God works in mysterious ways to bring helpless animals together with someone who will love them forever.

I love this thread--I think it's just great that we come from all different kinds of backyards on this crazy Earth and we all just love our pets so much and we can talk to everyone about anything!!

hahah .. good lord is right .. I'm freezing over here .. =( The things we do for our love ones :smlove2: I tell you.. my lovely husband is a Marine!! we have recruiting duty for the next four years... He's station out of Chicago

right now we are about 30 min away from the city we live in Indiana ... ( Not near the corn fields) ..lol

Hawaii is so Beautiful :) :) .. I miss the sun,surfing and being tan all year around..lol
My Husband is from the south suburbs ..it's good for him to be back home with his family!!

Don't get me wrong I love Chicago it's a great city!! lot's of cool shops and great food!! nice clean city so far..
I just have to get use to the cold weather :umbrella:

Nemo is from Hurdland Missouri. He is from a puppy mill:( .
Almost all of pet shop puppies are from mills. Missouri is the puppy mill capital:( My next Maltese will be from a wonderful breeder:)

My Kallie is from Oklahoma (puppymill) and when I bought her from the person who got her from the petshop near Miami, Florida......she had papers to register her with the CKC. I never filed them even though she gave them to me! Breeder for me next time too!! Not because I think Kallie is inferior in anyway to breeder dogs.........but because I do not want to support the puppymill industry.

Yes I did get papers, but they are not worth S*I*:p :p :D
I found out who his breeder *(If you can call her that) was and I called her I wanted pictures of his mom and dad. But I made the mistake of getting nasty with her and calling her a puppy-miller:p :p
She just laughed and said she wasnt a miller. Well I got the USDA report on her kennel (Howerton Kennel) and she had something like 158 animals and ALOT of violations:mad: The violations varied from having too many animals to not having a Vet inspection in 2 yrs:( So she is not only a puppy-miller she is also a liar. Hurdland Missouri is a very remote part of Missouri it is mostly farm land. I always hope I find someone on the net that got their dog from her so we could exchange info on her. I really can't find any info on her or her kennel. All I found was her address and her number.

Rocky came from Harland Kennel i just found that out .. no info on the breeder just her name (Connie Harland). I googled her..lol all i got was her address :mad:
