:confused: I know this is dumb , but I am curious. Does anyone know the longest a Maltese has ever lived:D told you it was dumb.:D
I don't know why , but it peeked my curiosity!!

Well, I have three older books on the Maltese breed and not one of them gives an age........just say with good care they can live to a ripe old age, whatever that means! I did talk to a woman in a parking lot one time that said she had just lost her maltese (she was admiring Kallie) a few months ago and the maltese was 15 years old!!!! So we'll just have to keep looking and see if we can find something more concrete!:D

My friend had a Maltese that lived for 19 years , actually my last Maltese x shih tzu had pups and they are turning 16 in a few months . Sarah

I know someone who has an 18 year old maltese in pretty good health.

My MIL 's Maltese is almost 15:D
I was so curious. There has to be something on the web about this, but of course I can't find it.:o .

I was coming on to say the exact same thing.

There is no question too dumb to be asked...... ever. Not when it is about the gorgeous Maltese breed.
