Ok so I bought this dress knowing that I would have to dry clean it (I'd much rather dry clean than hand wash:p)........I only paid $20 because it was on sale but I love the dress. So I wear it to a gathering and since I had it on for over five hours, felt a good cleaning was needed. I took it to the dry cleaners. When I picked it up, I was slapped with a $18.00 bill    :eek:11630.........asked why so much??? It was lined and made of silk!

Yes, but think about how much money you saved on the dress and that will balance out the cost of dry cleaning, right??

Well, let's see.........if I wear the dress twice a month x cleaning it each time at $18........$36 a month to wear a $20 dress!!! It is going to hang for "special occasions only.":tounge::tounge::tounge:

But thanks for trying to make me feel better with your logic and reasoning.

Yikes!! I really do not see a savings on the dress if cleaning it costs you that much. Can you use the Dryel home version of a dry cleaning on it?? That may reduce some of the costs so you can still wear the dress.

Reckon I will have to look into that because I really like the dress!!

Well dear, I'm sorry to hear about the large dry cleaning bill. I guess you will have to resort to hand washing. You know, if you're going to wear fancy clothes made of silk, it will cost you....:D

I wanted a comforter dry cleaned and they wanted $23.00 for it. I think NOT.
