Sam was the same way. Our vet told us to work him up to trips. Week one, in the car. Week two, in the car turn on the motor. Week three, short trip up the street, then slowly lengthen the trips. We got Sam to Atlanta and back last week with no puke or poop! It took some time, but it was worth it.

Give him some children's dramamine 1/2 hr before leaving. Call your vet on the dosage for his size.

I got some stuff from the pharmacy. Is it dramamine? :confused: Anyway, I give Tinka (12 lbs) 1/2 a tablet and it has helped a lot. She has been riding in cars for a long time and just the past 1/2 year or so has thrown up.

I've also heard that a bit of a ginger cookie helps too. Also some more natural products that are on the market work well.

Wow, sounds like a real problem but it looks like the girls have given you some "GREAT" suggestions!!!! Hope Louie can overcome his car riding issues..........like you, I love to take the kids with me.

I am going through this with Posh. We tried the Dramamine and that did not work. We have been taking small trips and she is starting to do better.

Today was the first time we made it to the groomers without puke all over her.:) I think my groomer was relieved:lol2:
