I was changing clothes and I noticed this itty bitty little blackish red mark on my upper inner thigh. I picked at it and it came off pretty easy. I put it on my finger and it was a dead tick! It was one of those really small ones that carry lymes.

If it one of those that carries lyme, I would go straight to the doctor on Monday.

:( YIKES! That does not sound like fun at all. I agree with Jane, I would check with the doctor also.

I can't stand ticks or fleas or ants. NO thank you.

Good luck!
Melanie

Ewww I hate bugs! The Dr. will probably give you some antibiodics in case the tick was carrying lyme. Keep an eye out for a red ring around the bite also.

Wouldn't it have been under your skin? It's odd to find a dead one on you! Do you know if it did get under your skin?

The doc maybe will do the antibiotics but I know they can't test for lymes right away. (I'm pretty sure, anyway:D) The tick has to be on a host for at least 24 hours for it to pass lymes along.

I hope things will be ok.

I think it at least bit down because there was a red bump where he was.

Oh Ashely, you poor thing. I hope it was not one of the ticks that carry lymes disease because that is nothing to fool around with. If you can't or won't go to the doctor, at least call the doctor and see what he thinks!!! And do watch the area like Amy said in her post..........and if I were you, I would check the cat, Chip and Smokey for any ticks as well........just to be on the safe side. Feel better!!!

Nothing yet. I'm just going to watch it. I'm sure I'm fine.

Watch it??? Does that mean there will be outward signs of lyme's if it was an infected tick???? I don't know a whole lot about the disease but know that one of my best friend's sister has it and it isn't pleasant.

Ashley please go to the doctor and get on some antibiotics. I read just the other day how someone contracted Lyme and let it go so long that they like to have never got over it. Please for your and your babies sake see a doctor in the morning. Hugs and lovies to you. :hearter::hearter:
