I wish so very much, that I had the money to buy a WHOLE bunch of REAL teacups and set them all around the store and put up huge signs saying,
"THESE are teacups, what is inside this store are puppymill dogs"

That just irks me the way they do this....Those poor dogs, you know they are not treated well and they are just being sold for the money.

3. They sell Halo cans of dog food for $6 a can!
4. Donated a puppy to an auction

After I seen all the different types of dogs I just shut it off. That makes me so sick to see them and knowing that there are many more out there.

I found this site because one of my son's friends was over and was so excited to play with Doodlebug. She tells me that she wants a "pocket puppy" and then shows me that site! :crying:
She's a very sweet girl and had NO IDEA about purchasing how to a puppy, puppymills, health issues etc. I explained to her about all of these things and she sat there looking at me like a deer in the headlights.
I was just so sad explaining to her that she should not consider buying a puppy from this store. She is just such a sweet little thing that I have known since the kids were in middle school.
These types of places will never go out of business because the consumer just is not educated enough to not purchase from a place like this.

I can remember as a child loving to go to the mall and seeing the pet stores. I always felt so sad for those puppies there but I never knew the difference either. I never bought one because we never had any money and never could afford to. But I always thought growing up that if you wanted a purebred puppy that was were you went.
When I started to look for my first purebred puppy I was in my 30's and knew at that time what pet stores were made of. I would not have know if I hadn't done research first before going out to buy one. Puppy mills stay in business because they cater to the unknowing and they will continue to do so as long as people out there still don't know what they are actually doing to the poor dogs. More public awareness will be the only thing that helps close them down. You did the right thing by talking to her and explaining who and what they are.
