I was wondering if anyone here used CC products and how they liked them! I am looking into buying some for my Mia. I bought a whitening shampoo/conditioner at PetSmart by 8in1 (I didnt know anything about brands) and obviously I dont really like it! It makes her smell good, but I dont see a difference in her coat!

Do these whitening products really work anyway?

I've never used these shampoos but i've read that they can be drying to the hair so should not be used regularly.

I've just found a site over here that sells the CC stuff & i will be ordering some things when the catalogue comes in:)

I have heard some great things about them, and I know that they are not supposed to be used daily, I think its every 4months or 6months....Not too sure! I was just wondering what everyone used...

CC products are very good! Use can use the shampoo and conditioner everytime you wash her. The whitner I would only use every 3 to 6 months. The regualar shampoo keeps Nemo white. I have never used a whitner on him, I just dont like them..

Thanks Andrea! I was looking the kits that are the smaller sizes, like the sampler ones....But it comes with the day to day shampoo and not the conditioner....Instead it comes with Think N Thicker Foaming Protien...Have you used this?

Hi Krystal--
Your Mia is such a cutie! Yes I use CC and I love it. The only thing I don't like is the White on White--it does make them really white but it is simply too drying for me, even if I don't use it on him very often. What I would recommend is the Day to Day line--it's very gentle, and leaves their coat incredibly soft and nice smelling. I LOVE the smell, I just can't stop smelling him after a bath LOL! I use the Day to Day shampoo and conditioner and the Afterbath. I also use the Ice on Ice and Silk Spirits, but those aren't staples like the actual bath stuff, and can come later if you don't want to get everything at once. I don't think you'd even have much use for the Silk Spirits until she has a long coat, if you decide to grow it out. Also, make sure that you use a tearless puppy shampoo on her face. Oh, and while you're there, go for a buttercomb too--you won't regret it! :)

Great, I guess I will wait a while for the others, but get the day to day and maybe a sample kit of the white on white, since it comes with afterbath and ice on ice! I was looking at the buttercombs, there are so many! which one do you use? Thanks for your help!

That sounds good. That way you'll get to try everything. You know the White on White's dryness might not matter on a puppy coat like Mia's anyway because it's so short and is still has the puppy texture--I don't know. Anyway, I use the #012 buttercomb, but a lot of people seem to like the ones with the fine/coarse teeth combo--so whatever you think you'd like better. I remember before I got my buttercomb I thought "It's just a comb what on earth is the big deal about??" but you'll see LOL. It just glides through their hair so nicely, I couldn't believe the difference between it and my old comb.

LOL, its funny you say that because I was wondering the same thing!! When do puppy's coats start to turn into adult coats? I know Mia's coat it pretty course...Not so soft and shiny like all the other dogs Ive seen!

I love CC products, I bought the sample pack first to see if I liked it. It works great, however I recommend just using the White on White every 2 months. It can be drying. I notice that when I use the products it makes her hair "hang" better. I want to try the Petsilk and Bless the Beast products, also Pantene.

Well she's still young and it just has that puppy texture to it. As it grows out a bit some of the puppy wave should come out, and it will probably look silkier. When Perri was a pup it usually looked like someone took an eggbeater to his hair LOL! As far as when they start getting their adult coats, it will vary from dog to dog depending on their lines, ect... Perri's started around 9 months.

I have always wanted to try some CC products but they are a bit pricey. Let us know how they work and maybe I will break down and try some.

I am going to get some of the CC white on white kit...is that like a sample?? It is only $10...so I figured. I may go ahead and get the day by day...since I won't use the white on white all the time. Thanks for that link! I can't afford those brushed though!:fainted:

That's the sample kit I bought and it's awesome! I also like the Day to Day. I tend to overuse the conditioner so I always get an extra bottle. Let us know what you think of it!

CC I think its a little better. I have been using Bless The Beast, but it has been making Nemo's hair dry:( .
In my opinion I love them both, I feel any shampoo I mean any, if used alot will dry their hair. I think it's best to switch, wash with one for a little bit then the other..

Oh by the way Carol:D :D :D

Andrea, I do love it, it's makes her blinding white! I do use the whole system shampoo/conditioner/after bath/thick and thickener/ice on ice on her every 2 months. Her coat is soooo soft. The hard part is the waiting for 10 mins to let it set in. Sooo, I cheat and leave it on as long as LB can handle it which is oh 7 mins or less:D .

But ummm... since her mama had her hair cut off:eek: I've just been using Day to Day shampoo and conditioner.

I am a newbie, but in a pinch I used Ojon Hydrating Shampoo/Conditioner. Yes it is for us humans, but I've found that Babe's hair has stayed white and is very shiny. Also, his skin was not irritated at all. I did dilute it however. It is pricey. I also use the conditioner diluted daily in a spray bottle for his grooming.

Ojon on my hair strengthens my hair, and I don't have any split ends on waist length hair.

I would estimate that Babe will not require a bath for perhaps 6 mos. with the continued use of the Conditioner daily.

Also, it seems that Babe's hair is getting thicker. When I groom him no hair is coming out. He easily tolerates an hr. of grooming.

Just a suggestion.
