How does a dog chew a wall? I have never seen anything like that.

Goodness, it sounds so strange to me.

... my dogs are very special... There are two holes beside our bed and another hole by the TV.

I think both are guilty.

Chip has also chewed a hole in the linoleum bathroom floor.

I have destructive pups.

That happened awhile ago. Both of those were while one of us was asleep. We found another hole in the wall just like the picture today by the TV.

Carson has started doing crap like that around my house!! I found a place where he'd scratched at the wall until the paint and plaster was gone. I was pissed. He's also started shredding the carpet that butts up to my kitchen tile when I'm busy doing something like making dinner.

Ugh.

Ohhhh..I am sooo sorry, I know how frustrating this is. Baxter is my "chewer". Cooper never destroyed as much, but it could have been because he was puppy #2 and i just never let him out of my site, putting him in a kennel or ex-pen if I couldn't watch him.

Baxter destroyed in year one:

1. A pair of prescription glasses (chewed up the lens) I had left on coffee table
2. Somehow got a Glade plug-in cartridge out of the holder and chewed it up. I became suspicious when we both noticed how wonderful he smelled. A short while later, he started puking. THAT also required a visit the the ER vet. (He was fine, Doctor said Yorkies have the most senstive stomaches on any breed)
3. While I was disassembling my desktop computer and installing a new one, he chewed the ends of my high-speed modem cord so badly it would not work...no internet for the weekend until I could get to comcast to get another one.
4. Almost every door frame, and corner piece of trim in my house has been chewed on. He really broke in the house for us, we had only been in it a year (it was brand new) when we got him!
5. Snuck under the bed and chewed the wooden support pieces and pillars to our brand new bed (I think I might have to take crime scene photos of that one) it looks like a beaver knawed on it.
6. Ruined some minor things like my postage scale, chewed holes in socks and panties

7. Was slobbering and foaming at mouth, we couldn't figure out why, had chewed the end of a pen top off (stolen off the coffee table) and had it wrapped around his back teeth. Husband got it off.

I'm sure there is more, but that was the MAJOR ones. Funny we still wouldn't trade him for the world. We finally figured out this dog is too intelligent, and needs to be occupied. Husband can put a piece of an apple, or some other treat inside a water bottle and he will play FOR HOURS. Same with the tug-a-jug. He can work a kong too quickly, even if you freeze it first.

He is 3 years old and STILL is the chewer. At least he knows "drop it" or "what do you have?", he will always give me what he has, then prance to the treat jar for his reward! Sometimes I think the little monster steals things of mine to chew on just so he can get what he really wants: chicken jerky!

There is also a baseball sized hole in the carpet where Chip got bored in his crate (he had plenty of toys!), somehow pushed the tray out, and chewed.

How frustrating.... all the destruction. Makes ya wonder what they are thinking, doesn't it? And they are soooo sneaky about it. Don't you wish you had a hidden video camera to see them in action?

My Morkie, Meika likes to chew stuff around my desk if I spend too much time on the computer. I rubbed a lemon wedge on the desk corner and parts of my chair she was hitting on, and it has stopped for now. I also put her on top of my desk to nap if I'm on the computer at night, so I can keep an eye on her.

Some very good ideas!!!!!!! I have four and none chew anything that they are suppose to chew. I guess I will be thankful for that!!!:goodpost::goodpost::goodpost:

Found Gucci (morkie) chewing the corner of my bedroom bed-steps. I sprayed bitter apple and he lapped it up. However, he doesn't chew that anymore. I also found little teeth marks on my kitchen windowsill. Again, the same results. I hate to think I'll have to spray everything. Gucci is 19 weeks old and 3#. It's amazing the damage our loves can do. We also have a Black Lab. While he never damaged in the house, our outside looked terrible for about 2 years. Thankfully, he became the most laid back dog in town. He even allows Gucci to share his breakfast!

Wow, I guess I am lucky. Alex has not destroyed anything in the house. He chewed on some minor things like the handle on my leather purse (that I left sitting on the floor), the back of a shoe, and if I remember well a small address book that he got out of my purse probably. He will go after my dirty kleenexes (even getting them out of the bottom of my waste basket, don't know how he manage that without the basket folling over) and tooth picks that I have forgotten on the coffee table. A good thing is that he does not swallow what he chews on, he spits it out.
