I had posted about my sister living in a hotel (she's still there) since that horrible Saturday when he got hit with Hannah and Ike leftovers.
Well, she told me her area had sewage backup and they have to assess her home after they get it all aired out. She said she was able to get a few things out but she has lost most of her belongs.
She is still upbeat and I have to say it is her faith that keeps her going. She is the strongest person I know and I'm so proud of her. She says as long as she is ok and her pets ( 1 dog and 2 cats) are ok they will be fine.
Please keep my sister (and all who were affected by these storms) in your prayers.
Thanks.

Cheryl, I am sorry to hear to hear about your sister. I can't imagine losing everything....but I am glad to hear that she and her pets are just fine in spite of everything. I will keep her and others in my prayers.

That is just awful. So many people have lost everything to those storms. The sister of my appliances repair man lost her whole house in Galveston. 8 days before Ike hit, they bought her a brand new refrigerator. It is devastating. But I guess when confronted with hardship you are stronger than you think and you learn to cope with it.

That is so sad. Give your sis our best wishes from here, ok?
I am having a hard time imagining starting all over. Wow. Like you were saying, it's good she is ok and he animals. Were there any other family members with her? (sorry, I can't remember)
