I found this on YT as to how you can post videos from Youtube in a thread. I haven't tried it but I see others have been able to post their vids, so if this is not correct, please let me know so that I can ammend this post.

Thanks and have at it! :)

For the YouTube video, you need to paste the embed code, NOT just the URL.

The example you posted, I think, is what you have to do to add a video to your profile page, not just a thread. But I just tried and I'm not sure they've added that feature over here yet.

To link to a video out of a thread, all you have to do is paste the regular you tube url into a message.

To post a YouTube video, just paste the link of the video into your post, like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_JjViA8GxA

The link would be: http:// www. youtube. com/watch?v=n_JjViA8GxA

without the spaces in between...

We have also added the option of adding a YouTube video to members' profile pages.

Click here to add a YouTube video URL, the title of the video, and whether you want the video to autoplay when members click on your profile.

http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/profile.php?do=editprofile

For the YouTube video, you need to paste the embed code, NOT just the URL.

So for example, but the below URL in the YouTube URL box, and it would work.

http://www.youtube.com/v/aIQg9dh_hpA&hl

Enjoy!

Thanks to Natalie securing this information off of Yorkietalk, I was finally able to understand how to post a Youtube on my "Profile Page." So thought it was worth noting on the forum for others who might like to spruce up their profile page!

After you find a U-Tube video you would like to use, go to "User CP", and then choose "Edit you Details." At the bottom of the page it will say, "YouTube URL" , this is where you must paste the U-tube address, or URL, but it needs to be slightly changed before posting.

You have to do two things; first you have to totally remove the word "watch?" Secondly, you need to replace the "=" with a slash like this "/".
Here's a sample of an address:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFCnvH2E-6A

After you remove the word "watch?" and replace the "=" with a "/". You will have this address:

http://www.youtube.com/v/oFCnvH2E-6A.

Then just title the U-tube and put "&autoplay=1" in the slot provided if you want it to automatically play when someone opens your page. Press "Save Changes" and you're all set. See the picture for more details.
