Jake, the Rat Terrier was swimming at his favorite spot with his owner up on the pier, when he saw a shark surface and take the dog in it's mouth. He jumped right in, balled his hands into a fist and start hitting the shark on its back and it let the dog go. They made it back to shore and Jack had some injuries but he is going to be fine. Jake doesn't like swimming pools, but his owner said he just might have to rethink his swimming hole.

I am so proud of that man for not thinking about himself but only of the safety of his dog and didn't hesitate to try and save him.

I hope that I would have the courage to do something like that if Jack was in trouble.

Great owner!!! I would have done that myself if it was one of my babies. Glad no one was seriously hurt.

I would rethink the swimming hole also.

Cheryl, if Jack was ever in trouble, you would not think twice about helping him. He is the apple of your eye. :D

You are right.....I would do what ever to save Jack. My husband can't swim, so Jack and I would be in serious trouble if we depended on him:D
