Well, most of you know my husband raises English Shepherds and he has had new pups this summer I usually try not to get attached to them b/c they are cattle dogs and they go to new homes pretty fast. Well, this little girl is a different story she is what I would consider a true "runt" her name is LuLu and she is 6 weeks old and weighs 1 lb 14 oz I had to take her away from her mom before she was 4 weeks old b/c she was not getting to nurse her brothers and sisters were 3 times her size and rooting her out and me being the sucker I am for a cute face I took her as mine and we just love her to death after a bad case of roundworms she is doing great and thinks I am her momma. She has the perfect markings for and English Shepherd full white collar, blaze, white tip on her tail and white on her feet.

CONGRATULATIONS ON LULU!!

I love her!! I couldn't see her tiny little ears until I clicked on the picture and then saw her tiny tiny ears!! How cute is that! How big do you think she will get??? It's always exciting to get a new fluff!!! I'm soooooooooo happy for you!!! Thanks for sharing LuLu with us!!! She is adorable.

How big do they normally get? Are all of them black and white? (I know nothing about the breed :o)

They come in 3 colors black/white, sable/white and tri-color the males can get 60-80 lbs and females 40-50 lbs here is a link to my husbands dog site if you want to read about them they are great dogs www.holdensenglishshepherd.com

I like Hattie, Duke and Winston the best. :D
It's funny cause as I was reading through the site, I was wondering if these dogs were like the Border Collie and the next thing I read was the part about the difference. LOL.

So, how are these dogs for herding Yorkies and other small dogs?:lol2:

With Lulu being so small now, do you think she will get to about 40-50lbs still?

She is cute isn't she? I really don't think she will get 40-50 lbs like the female ES usually do I guessing maybe 20 and yes if she stays small she will be an inside dog

I think I need a herding dog around here.... I'll have to wait till they invent one that doesn't shed, though.;)

She is a cutie isn't she. She still doesn't weigh 2 lbs yet she will be 7 weeks old on Friday. It is funny to watch her with my white furball babies.

LuLu will be 9 weeks old on Friday and she weighs 2 1/2 lbs the pic here is of one of her littermates a female she weighs 11 lbs just thought I would show you how big LulU should be. LuLu thinks I am her momma we just love her like crazy...I also think she thinks she is a maltese LOL

Wow, what a size difference!!! She is adorable and so tiny in comparison!! She is going to make a great addition..........what is there not to love!!!! :hearter::hearter:

She is just a little thing. I can not believe the size difference in the two of them. I am glad you are keeping her...she is just adorable.

Awww that is sweet my husband raises this breed, English Shepherd, and the females usually get 30 to 40 lbs I will be surprised it LuLu gets 20 lbs she will be 9 weeks old on Friday

She is a cutie her littermates are now weighing 12-15 lbs and are 9 weeks old LuLu weighs just under 3 lbs

Wow. That is quite a difference. Is it "normal" to have one that small from a litter?

It is very unusual to have an ES this small my husband has been raising this breed since the late 60's and he says this is the first time he has seen one staying this small
