Im sorry this is pretty gross, but I am a little nervous.... Today, Mia went poop and part of it was a texture of (Im sorry this is gross!) seaman...It was not runny, and the same color of poop (like a greenish/yellow/brown) color...What could this be?

Yes, Mia is a girl, but the texture of her poo is like discharge...She still poops her normal texture kind but then that comes out too....I was reading SM and I found a forum where people were having the same problem...They said that it was because they changes their food...I just changed Mia's food 3 days ago, she seems to love it though! Im hoping its no big deal, and she seems like her crazy self! I am going to the vet on Friday so I will make sure to ask....

I just switched her to puppy pro plan....It was the same thing that her breeder had her on, but it looks different....It might be a different flavor or something....I will talk to the vet...

I have also read about that on SM, but have no clue as to why. I would speak to your vet and maybe even take a sample in.

Is it like brownish mucous or jelly? That can be lots of stuff, including worms, change in diet, stress.

It was like a brownish mucous....Could it be worms? How do puppies get worms?

Dogs can catch many kinds of worms but the one that affects most young dogs is roundworms & these are picked up by licking, for instance the ground where the eggs are become attached to paws, hair & then the dogs clean themselves & it then becomes ingested.

Has she had her first vet visit yet & been wormed by your vet?

They can also get tapeworms, which LB has gotten before. I would give a sample of the feces to the vet to analyze. It could be a change in food.

If you can get a sample to take in with you to your vet, that would be a good Idea, saves time and money.

All the best:smlove2:
