Has anyone used them? Did they help aid in potty training?
I'm going to order two for Chip and two for Smokey and I'm hoping it that they won't pee in them and we can train them to go outside.
Also, I know this is product review, but in terms of training, how do you use the "bell"?

I cant comment on the belly bands but as far as the bell it was rather simple training for Jake and Mitzy.
When we were potty training we would say "lets go potty", ring the bell, and take them outside. We would let them do their stuff praise and treat them. Then when they could hold it a bit longer we would have them sit at the door and ring the bell before we would take them out. And treat them when they rang it (still saying potty). Jake caught on very quick but hes very smart.. Mitzy... Not so much. She took alot longer to grasp it that the bell meant she needed to wiz. It might have been that I have a super genius dog that it was so easy to train but thats how me and Josh did it...

Jasper potty trained himself to the wee pads. Emme is the only one that forgets to use the pads....she has real short term memory. :lol2::lol2::lol2:
My first Yorkie was very hard to potty train also, so I think it may be a Yorkie thing. Never tried the belly bands or the bell.

Chip will use pee pads... but only in the upstairs bathroom... so if he's on the main level or anywhere else in the house, then he'll just go where ever he feels like it...
Smokey we are still trying to figure out a way to potty train him... we've tried the crates, but he has anxiety, we've tried gating him with pee pads and he just potties in front of the gate and walks all in it, I've tried blocking him on the pee pad until he goes but he just lays down and looks at me like I'm retarded... the belly bands are my ONLY hope at this point.
I've just decided that belly bands shouldn't be that hard to make and I'm going to try to do it myself!

I only use belly bands when we are at someone's house or out somewhere I don't want him to have an accident.

I've never used the belly bands and never even knew they existed until I joined a forum........by then Toby (my only boy) was trained. All my fluffs are trained for outside potty.........no pee pads are ever left down. The only one of the four that will ring the bells is Brandy.......why they others do not ring them is beyond me because they know that when those bells go jingle jingle, it means a trip outside to go potty. But they just don't use them. BUT they each have their own way of letting me know they have to go!!!! So whatever works is fine with me! I wish you success with the belly bands!!!

We used the belly band for Jack, not to train for going potty, but to correct him from marking at another person's house.
Jack was fine for months going by my son's house. He has a female boxer and then all of a sudden, Jack wanted to mark up the house. I got a belly band from Jodi (chloeandj). I also got a make diaper and we used the small pads to put inside the belly band and diaper to absorb the pee.
Jack has gotten much better, haven't had to use the band or diaper since last year. When we took Jack with us on our road trip last year to Colorado, my s-i-l had a female schaunzer. I didn't want Jack to mark up the house, so he wore the diaper whenever he was inside. My b-i-l at first thought it was crazy, but then he said he really appreciated that we did that and then Jack was his new best little buddy.
We do use the bell. Jack came to us from a shelter and he never barked to let anyone know he had to go out, not even at his foster mom's house. When we brought him home he wouldn't bark, so we when we started training sessions, the instructor told us to get a bird cage bell and attach it to the gate. When we said let's go potty, we'd ring the bell. After a few times, Jack started to get close to it with his nose and when he touched it we said let's go potty. He still uses the bell, he will not bark to go out.
Good luck with the belly band and the bell.

I used a belly band for Mr Wookie once when I took him to a "doggie party" at someone's home I didn't know. I would have died if he had made an accident in their home. Mr Wookie made me proud, when he needed to go, he walked around until he found the bathroom and stood in there waiting for me to lay down his potty pad. :D
