Read this on the ASPCA site and thought it was some very good information and helpful to anyone looking to buy a puppy!

I think the article has some good points; ones that inspire common sense to kick in. However, I don't think I agree with alot of it. I guess that is the way with all articles. It will help more than hurt.

Carol I have never seen that website. And am going to link it from mine. Thanks for the information. You would not believe the number of people that I have spoke with over the years that mention just these things. It is truly sad the state that our world has came to as far as scammers.

I love the ASPCA website! They always have great articles and will send you emails if you request it.

This article is very good!
Before I found my D'Jollee, I went through quite a few of those scenarios!
It is very good to educate yourself and check references before acquiring a puppy!
I think that another good point is when the breeder wants to stay in touch with you, is available after purchase to answer your questions!

jeez reading that makes me remember jus thow lucky we were. We got Louie from a great breeder who lives just two towns over, we got to go meet all the pups from the litter just a week after I first emailed her and we're still in contact now. It's sad what some people and dogs go thru at the hands of these scammers.
